(Photo by Chinnawat Singha)PHITSANULOK -- A shop stocked with used tyres and a car spray-paint shop were burned to the ground on the side of the Phitsanulok-Lom Sak Road in Wang Thong district overnight, police said. The fire swept through the two shops at Ban Nong Khon in tambon Wang Nok Aen about 3.30am. About 10 fire engines from Wang Nok Aen, Kaen Sopha and Nam Chun tambon administration organisations took around three hours to put out the flames, which were fed by highly inflammable materials such as car tyres, paint and thinner. Both shops were completedly destroyed, but fire fighters prevented the blaze spreading to nearby houses.
